Creative Masbate Collective received a modest advocacy support fund from the proceeds of Damgo Naton Masbate’s sale of signed copies of Las Islas de Masbate by Dr. Danilo Madrid Gerona.

The support was turned over during TUGMA 2026: Tugtog Masbateño last June 27, 2026.

This small support was made possible by everyone who purchased, reserved, and helped promote the limited signed copies of the book. Through this, a work that preserves Masbate’s history also helped support the continuing work of Masbate’s creative communities.

Thank you for reading Masbate, supporting Masbate creatives, and helping us turn local history into local action. Padayon an paghiwag para sa Creative Masbate! ✊🇵🇭

On July 24, 2024, Arte Masbate showed support for the Masbate Tudlo Artists’ Group x Pio’s Garage Restaurant Painting Competition 2024, held at Pio’s Garage Restaurant in Masbate City. The event featured an exhibit of works by local artists from different parts of Masbate, highlighting local culture, traditions, activities, and lifeways through visual art.

As a project of Damgo Naton Masbate, Arte Masbate continues to support platforms that bring Masbateño artists closer to the community and give space to the everyday stories, practices, and identities that shape Masbate. Through events like this, local art becomes more than display. It becomes memory, pride, and shared cultural expression. 🖼️
