As a closing for the celebration of National Womenโs Month, we present to you the highlights from our workshop Likas-Lakas: An Eco-Feminism Art Workshop, held last March 21, 2026 at the PNU HRD Auditorium, in partnership with PNU Gabriela Youth.
The event opened with an inspiring message from visual artist, curator, and author Imelda Cajipe-Endaya, setting the tone for a meaningful exploration of art, advocacy, and empowerment. This was followed by insightful discussions from three key speakers from PNU TeksturaโMarketing Manager Naomi Alaine Carbonell, Vice President-Internal Kent Kirby Hipolito, and Vice President-External Josh Lyn Palmianoโwho highlighted themes on women, nature, feminism in the Philippines, and the role of women in art.
The workshop proper engaged participants in creating group and individual artworks using discarded materials, transforming waste into powerful expressions of identity and advocacy. Each piece reflected the strength, resilience, and boundless capability of women, embodying the spirit of ecofeminism.
Through creativity and collective action, "Likas-Lakas" became more than just a workshopโit became a space where art and empowerment meet, celebrating women as forces of change in both society and the environment. โจ
