This room served as an aula or classroom for the early Filipinos where they were taught music, art, and catechism. In the 18th century, this space became the Office of the Procurator and later on it became the Sala Recibidor to receive guests.
The sala currently features the arrival of the early Augustinian missionaries and the expeditions that led to the historic encounters of this archipelago with the Western World.
Among these exchanges are the accounts of the βFinding of the Venerated Image of the Santo NiΓ±oβ, βThe Discovery of the Tornaviajeβ and βThe Manila-Acapulco Galleon Routeβ.
