Ito na!!! Finally, sharing this three-year journey and my very first mural size masterpiece 5ft x 10 ft dimension.

It has been a very challenging season for me as the process of creating this piece was really hard. While looking at the artwork, I can’t help but look back on the day someone told me na hindi makikilala ang art style ko dito sa Pilipinas. As someone without connection and experience lots of rejection making a piece as huge as this is an achievement that I will treasure for the rest of my life. This is a testament of me not giving up on my dreams and keeping up the good fight of faith.

Patunay ito na tama ang paglaban ko sa pangarap namin ni Kuya ko. Na tamang binuhay ko ulit ang pangarap na inayawan ko na at kinalimutan. Na tamang pinaglaban ko ang pangarap na ito kahit parang imposible na magkatotoo. Yung dekada na paghintay sobrang worth it.

Thank you to my client for commissioning me to do this masterpiece. Thank you for believing in me. Maraming salamat po sainyo sa lahat lahat.

Lastly, thank you Lord sa talent, faithfulness, mercy, grace at love mo palagi sa akin. Salamat at hindi mo ako pinapabayaan. May I give the glory back to You alone.

Sharing my latest Japanese masterpiece bound to Belgium. It was quite a challenge at first making every detail but a success because I was able to surpass my expectations of myself as an artist. This artwork represents the Pagoda Tower, bamboo tree, koi fish, lotus flower, and the crane bird.

The Pagoda Tower in Japanese represents spiritual journey to enlightenment. Part of it’s symbolic meaning was stability, stillness, cleansing of the spirit, passion, energy, freedom, growth, breath of life.

Bamboo Tree represents strength, prosperity, flexibility and purity. Because its stalks bend in the wind without breaking and its roots grow deep, bamboo represents resilience and steadfastness.

Koi fish represents strength and perseverance, good fortune and prosperity.

In Japanese culture, the crane (鶴), pronounced tsuru, is a revered, highly auspicious symbol of good fortune, longevity, and peace. Known as the "bird of happiness," it is deeply woven into Japanese folklore, weddings, and art as an emblem of fidelity and eternal love.

The lotus flower is a profound symbol of purity, spiritual enlightenment, rebirth, and resilience. Because it roots in murky, muddy water but rises above the surface to bloom perfectly clean, it represents the human journey of rising above worldly attachments and hardships into clarity and wisdom.

Sharing my latest masterpiece. A client who purchased one of my exhibition piece from my exhibit last 2024 asked me to make another for his mom. At first, I was a bit unsure because the theme is very sentimental to me. It means going back to the emotional state of longing for my nanay ( she passed away when I was 7 years old ). Though tapping once again on my emotions, I feel relieved when I finished this masterpiece. It surpass what I envisioned. And it bring me in awe. I realized that the longing never disappears as much as the love that reminds me of her. Kaya siguro puno parin ako ng passion while making this project.

Sharing my first obradepapel masterpiece for 2026! What a journey for this project. It took more than a year to complete this one. I’ve had moments of ups and downs while making this artwork because, I honestly find it hard to translate what I envisioned into paper. But thanks to my client for adding her insights and specific instructions to make up for the important details to balance the piece in general.

One notable experience I want to share, is the revision process which my clients eldest daughter, arguably wanted to have her rat ( represents her in the artwork ) be bigger. Maliit kasi yung una ko na gawa. According to my client, her daughter questioned “why am I small? And nagtampo sya hehe. Her baby brother ( which is the dragon ) is so big than her. Which leads to my client explaining to her that rat is tiny in size. 😂 Even if my creativity is put to test and challenged, I find this very cute. Iba talaga ang heart and innocence ng isang bata. As we all know that having a childlike characteristics are being curious, open, wonder, and being free among others. Na kapag tumatanda na tayo ay nawawala na, dahil sa mga hindi magagandang experience na naranasan natin. Pero iba ang heart ng isang bata, mabilis lang sila mag move on at magpatuloy sa buhay. Na sana ganun din sa atin na tumatanda na. ♥️

Thankfully, I feel better and relieved when my client approved the final revision. Nakahinga ako ng maluwag and naramdaman ko na worth it lahat ng pagod, puyat, at puso na binigay ko dito sa masterpiece.
