Nagsimula ako gumawa ng artwork sa isang cover ng notebook way back 2013 at nabili ito ng 300 pesos. May mga nagsabi sakin noon na wala akong mararating sa larangan ng art, maghanap na ako ng ibang trabaho, umuwi ng probinsya at mag-aral ulit. Subalit, sinikap ko na ilaban ang pangarap na maging artist sa kabila ng mga negatibo na pananaw ng mga nakapaligid sa akin. Fast forward to present, natupad ko ang maging artist at masaya na ishare ang pinakamalaki ko na masterpiece na nagawa ko. Paunti-unti nahahanap ko na rin ang mga tamang tao para sa mga gawa ko.

Kung ikaw ay nagsisimula palang sa larangan ng art o sa ibang field man, pagbutihin mo lang, paghusayan at ipagpanalangin na matupad ang mga gusto mo marating sa buhay. Patuloy lang sa paglaban sa pangarap.

Finally, after a very long time I can post my first masterpiece for 2025 which lasted over 6 months to complete. Please allow me to dedicate today’s post to my fellow artists.

With the rise of AI “Art” it seems that it will be here to stay. Let me honor and appreciate with highest respect those anyone who’s taken an idea to life and turned it into something real. The power it takes is not a joke - that’s Vision. Shoutout to the risk-takers, creators, the ones who refuse to quit. Building something from nothing is already a success. If I will give a piece of advice is, see your potential because you can do more, and keep on leveling up.

Ps. While developing my art style and medium years ago, I did consider the idea of AI as a possible rival in the future, as it is knocking on the doors of the art community. But honestly, while it is making waves as of the moment, here is what I believe. Traditional, contemporary art is and will be here to stay. The soul by making it is irreplaceable. The beauty of imperfection is what makes every masterpiece timeless and unique which AI can never duplicate or copy.
It can create its own community but will never replace art in general.

To the general public, how can you help our local artists? By appreciating them more like never before.

While this art style and medium is helping me, this is not the only way to flourish in the art community nowadays. There’s many creative ideas and mediums out there for you to study and discover. Let us use the technology to our advantage. Find your purpose within. Romans 8:28 states, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose".

Thank you to my client Ate Rida Panlilio-Ferrer for giving me this opportunity to challenge myself and discover that I can do more in creating a masterpiece. Thank you for giving me enough time and for being kind as always. This masterpiece is one for the books and I will treasure this forever.

Sharing my 16th obra de papel ( painting with paper ) commissioned project. I was hesitant at first when my client requested to use the colors of gold, gray, black and white but it turned into an elegant and expensive looking masterpiece. The colors blend beautifully and balance well together. Making this piece is a challenge, pero sulit ang effort sa pagbuo nito.

If there is one thing I will change about my journey as an artist, certainly none. The struggles, pain of rejections, self-doubt, lack of support and many other factors were part of the lessons I learned that makes who I am today.

I guess my masterpieces today reflected how my dark past turns to light.

As I gradually improved as an artist, I always put a very high priority on my vision and ex*****on. Sharing a part of my soul. Ultimately, it’s not about time spent but the result.

New commissioned project.

Koi fish are often paired with the yin-yang symbol. The sides of black and white are said to resemble a female and a male koi swimming together, representing the harmony of two opposite energies coming together as one, creating a perfect balance. The circular movement of the fish represents the belief that all things in life are connected.

Koi fish are capable of adapting to many different climates and water conditions and can symbolize strength. It is inherent in a koi’s nature to swim upstream. Through the koi fish legend, you can see that they show great determination, dedication, perseverance, and success.

The lotus is a beautiful flower that grows out of muddy ponds. Bringing the lotus and the koi together represents growth. Just as the koi started as a little fish and grew into a strong dragon, the lotus starts out in a dirty pond but still becomes beautiful.

Thank you to my clients Sir Nick and Ms. Anesha for this collaboration. It was a bit of a challenge as we don’t know what the outcome of this project at the start but it turned out well. Thank you for supporting my artistry. Blessings to you and your family.

What I’ve learned throughout my art journey is that the right path is probably the one that scares me, the one that has potential to break me in the process. But despite of these, I’ve learned that the fear that causes me to tremble as I take on the challenge - it’s worth it!

Today, I am proudly sharing what I can say one of my best masterpiece so far.

Chinese mythology boasts a variety of different mythological creatures, drawn from nature and from the inventions of folkloric imagination. These include the Four Supernatural Spirits, animal guardians of the cardinal directions, and a host of diverse mythological creatures.

The Four Supernatural Spirits are four mythological creatures that appear in Chinese Mythology. Also known as the Four Symbols, Four Guardians, or Four Images, these symbols are based on Chinese constellations of stars, and the creatures are viewed as being the guardians of the four cardinal directions. The Four Symbols are the Dragon, the Vermilion Bird, the Tiger and the Tortoise.

Each of the four symbols was an animal that was believed to have a particularly high degree of intelligence. Each of the symbols represented a particular class of animals, which they were believed to rule over. In addition, each of the symbols represented a particular season, emotion, virtue, and element, as well as an origin story and purpose. These animal symbols have been hugely influential and important across many East Asian cultures.

Sharing my first masterpiece for 2024. While representing different meanings to different cultures, the peacock, with its unique beauty, makes it a handy symbol for power, strength, confidence, and even divinity, something with which most monarchs throughout history have wanted to be associated. If something is destined to be yours, no matter what happens it will find its way to you.

Several years ago, I tried sending proposals for 2 consecutive years for an art event at BGC as an upcoming artist to showcase my art, but was rejected twice.

Fast forward today, unexpectedly I am part of one of the countries premiere art exhibit kasama ang mga high caliber art galleries around the metro.

Grabe ka talaga Lord! Yung Word na pinanghawakan ko habang nilalaban ang pangarap na maging artist ay nagkatotoo na. Habakkuk 2:2-3 Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

Praise God! Glory is Yours Alone.🙏

Sometimes it takes 10 years to get that one year that will change your life, so keep going.

In my art journey, taking risk is just one thing aside from many factors that helped me to create my future and opens the door to the art world.

I had full of doubts when I accepted my first koi fish project last year but now I completed 10 koi fish commissions and still counting…

I am very thankful to all of my clients for the trust, support, and challenges my creativity. My talent improved because of you.

Also, thank you to my client Sir Carlos Montano for the opportunity to make this 10th koi fish project for your Home. It has been a struggle for me making this piece, but seeing the outcome nakahinga na ako ng maluwag. It looks beautiful again.

Lastly, thank you Lord for the talent, for your faithfulness, mercy and grace. 🙏
