Kenneth Macatangay is a visual artist from Lucban known for inventing distinctive painting techniques that merge traditional, modern, academic, and experimental approaches. His works are recognized for classical figures, detailed textures, dynamic lighting effects, and vibrant colors that shift depending on the viewer’s angle. His themes often focus on history, culture, and biblical scenes.
He is a regular finalist in the Shell National Students Art Competition and a finalist in the GSIS National Art Competition. A member of the Lucban Artists Guild and the Art Association of the Philippines, he is also featured in The Art Association of the Philippines Book (Vol. 1) and Alphabet of Filipino Contemporary Artists (Vol. 2).
Beyond painting, he has produced thousands of ballpen portraits and is pursuing a Guinness World Record, while also engaging in music, literature, and theater.
