The stories are old. The people aren’t. ♥️

Every day, our team welcomes guests, shares the history of the house, and helps bring its stories to life.

But once in a while, they remind us that heritage doesn’t have to feel distant or serious.

Because while the house may be nearly a century old, the energy inside it is very much alive. 😊

We recently welcomed Regional Director Engr. Jovita V. Chongco and the team from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) Region VI.

Our thanks to the General Manager of PCTV, Astrophel Tabanera for bringing the group to Agatona and introducing them to the stories that continue to live within this home. ♥️

It is always meaningful to see visitors from different walks of life gather around history, heritage, and conversation.

We hope you enjoyed your visit and look forward to welcoming you again.🌟

Today, it continues to become part of new ones.

Whether you’re visiting for a tour, sharing a meal at the café, or capturing a special moment through a photoshoot, every visit adds another story to the house.

Every guest leaves with a different story. ♥️

Some come for the guided tour.

Some come for the coffee.

Some come to learn more about the history of the house.

And some simply come to spend time with the people they love.

No two visits are ever quite the same.

But that is what we enjoy most about sharing this home.

The conversations around the table, the stories exchanged during a tour, the laughter that fills the rooms, and the memories guests take with them when they leave.

Thank you to everyone who has spent part of their day with us.

We are always grateful to be part of your story, too.

This was never meant to be a museum. (Part 3)

What do you do with a house full of memories?

For a long time, this house was simply home.

The place where family gathered, meals were shared, guests were welcomed, and memories were made without anyone thinking they would one day become history.

When you grow up surrounded by these things, you don’t see antiques.

You see the dining table where people sat together.

The photographs you’ve walked past countless times.

The rooms that feel familiar because they’ve always been there.

Over the years, we came to realize that what makes this house special isn’t what it contains.

It’s the lives that were lived here.

And the memories that remain.

Opening our doors was never about turning a home into a museum.

It was about giving others the chance to experience the stories, the warmth, and the sense of connection that have always been part of this place.

Because some houses are remembered for how they look.

We hope this one is remembered for how it makes people feel. ♥️

Some guests arrive for the history. They stay for the people. ♥️

Over the years, we’ve learned that what guests remember most isn’t always a room, an artifact, or a photograph.

Often, it’s the conversations they shared, the stories they heard, and the people who welcomed them along the way.

And for that, we’re grateful every day.

There is something special about slowing down long enough to share a meal, a cup of coffee, and a conversation.

Some arrive as first-time visitors. Others return with friends and family. Yet somehow, the tables always seem to fill with laughter, stories, and moments worth remembering.

Perhaps that is what we love most about Agatona.

Not only the memories preserved within these walls, but the new ones being created every day.

♥️

What conversation do you remember most around a family table?

This was never meant to be a museum. ( Part 2)

Long before guests walked through these halls, one person quietly cared for this home and everything inside it.

Our grandmother, Cecilia Jalandoni, daughter-in-law of Doña Agatona, lovingly preserved the house, its furnishings, photographs, heirlooms, and memories until her passing in 2022.

She did not preserve these things for a museum.

She cared for them because this was home 💕

For decades, she watched over the rooms where generations gathered, celebrated milestones, shared meals, and created memories.

Because of her love and dedication, much of what you see today remains exactly where it has always been.

When guests visit Agatona, they often notice the antiques.

What we see is her care in every corner of the house.

And perhaps that is the greatest legacy she left behind. ♥️

Every guest becomes part of the story. ♥️

Long before Agatona 1927 opened its doors to visitors, this house was filled with family gatherings, shared meals, celebrations, and everyday moments that quietly became memories.

Today, those stories continue in a different way 💕

Through every guided tour, every conversation around the table, every photo taken, and every guest who walks through these halls.

To everyone who has visited, thank you for allowing our family home to become a small part of your own story ♥️

And in return, thank you for becoming part of ours. ✨
