CAVE HISTORY
The cave was discovered on September 18,1996 when Mr. Avito Formentera was gathering firewood in the area where the cave is located. He felt tired so he decided to relax near the bamboo. He saw a group of stones there. He removed the big stone but the small stones remained untouched. He dug the soil and he was shocked when he saw a big crab facing him which came from the hole. He con
tinued digging the soil until bigger and wider hole was made. He threw stones inside. The first thing he saw inside was like a living room for the visitors. He was so curious and found out that it was a very beautiful and looked like an enchanted cave. He was in the state of shock and cried seeing “why me to discover this cave”? He sat at the center uttered words and said “please help me lord”. Then he saw a big crab beside him and roamed around the different parts of the cave. He saw stalactites, stalagmites and crystals in the cave. Almost 14 years had passed but the cave remained unnamed until January 2010. Avito Formentera decided to name it “HOLY CAVE” due to the following reasons:
1.) The water cured some common ailments like fever, itchiness of the skin, muscle pain,etc.. The water seemed to be continuously flowing even if we fetch much amount, the water level remains the same.
2.) The forms of the stalagmites inside looks like saints,like Sr.Sto Niño, Sr. San Roque, and Virgin Mary.
3.) There are also human bones inside. There are so many Filipinos & Foreign Nationals wants to go and witness how beautiful inside the cave.. Experience,Enjoy&Explore the Enchanted Beauty of the Holy Cave!!
