February 8, 2026. Today, I started the initial coating of my oil painting on 18"×24" canvass. My second painting for this year.

This painting will feature a rare PH bird specie, which can be found in Mt Kalatungan range in central Bukidnon province.

Description:

The Day of Rest in the Old Testament books is the Sabbath, or Shabbat in Hebrew, which is the seventh day of the week, commanded by God as a day of rest, worship and reflection.

It begins just before sunset on Friday evening and ends at nightfall on Saturday. It is marked by the lighting of candles before sunset, and the recitation of blessings over wine and bread.

Unang Semana, a Bisayan translation of First Week, depicts the seven days of creation accompanied by horizontal colors that represent each day. The painting starts with the creation of light in the first day represented by color white, and ends with seventh day of rest represented by dark blue color.

September 24, 2025, at 11:10pm. This oil painting on canvass is about 60% done. Hopefully, I shall be able to complete and have it framed within first week of October 2025.
