Art has the power to speak when words fall short, to heal invisible wounds, and to keep cherished memories alive.

This September, in observance of Su***de Prevention Month, Pugad Ni Art Studio is opening its space for a deeply meaningful exhibition dedicated to mental health, recovery, and remembrance.

This cause hits close to home for all of us. This exhibition honors not only Kuya Bojo, our Pugad ni Art Family member who helped build Pugad Ni Art Studio from the ground up, but also every soul we have tragically lost along the way. At the same time, this space is for mga lumalaban—for everyone silently or openly fighting their daily battles, holding on to hope, and choosing to stay. Let us come together to honor their stories and struggles through the universal language of art.

We invite all passionate visual artists to join this moving tribute. Your artwork can become a beacon of strength, comfort, and hope for someone who might need it most.

𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 .𖥔 ݁ ˖ִ ࣪⚝₊ ⊹˚
is a reflection on the dreams, desires, and quiet prayers we carry with us as we grow older.

Through Mimi, the artist explores the many forms that hope can take, from wishing for love and a better world to holding on when hope feels fragile, longing for someone we wish were still
here, and searching for inner peace. Each painting is a glimpse into a different kind of longing: personal and intimate, yet also
shaped by the world around us. Some wishes are simple, some deeply personal, while others reach beyond ourselves, a quiet hope for a kinder, more compassionate future.

Hopes and Wishes is an invitation to pause and remember the things we continue to believe in, even as we grow older. Because perhaps growing up does not mean outgrowing our dreams; it
simply means learning to carry them differently.

MaeSomething is a contemporary lowbrow artist whose work explores nostalgia, imagination, and the emotional complexities of growing up. Inspired by her grandfather, early responsibilities, and a childhood love for classic cartoons, Mae’s art captures the bittersweet transition from youthful innocence to the realities of adulthood. Working primarily in acrylic, she builds vibrant, whimsical worlds that reflect memory, longing, hope, and the quiet poetry of everyday life.

At the heart of her practice is Mimi—her signature, ribbon-wearing character who acts as an emotional mirror for her inner child, memories, and imagination.

Mae’s striking works have been exhibited widely both locally and internationally, with shows spanning South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Spain, Paris, and Italy. Notably, she was among the first Filipino artists to complete an art residency at SAMRIT in Thailand, an experience that profoundly broadened her artistic vision. Her talent has also earned her major recognition, including First Place in the 2018 Just Add Water PH Plein Air Contest.

Through her art, Mae invites viewers to step back into a sense of wonder, offering a comforting space to reconnect with the childlike parts of themselves they may have left behind.

Jomar has represented the Philippines in numerous international exhibitions and cultural exchange programs across Mongolia, China, France, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia, and South Korea. He participated in the ARA Contemporary Art Camp in Mongolia, the ASEAN Culture and Art Creation Season VI in Xiamen, China, the Busan International Arts Festival, Artist 360 Feria de Arte Contemporáneo in Madrid, and the Business Art Fair in Paris, among others. Lost in Blue is a reflection on those moments when we find ourselves unsure of where we are going. Inspired by the vastness of the night sky, the series explores the feeling of being surrounded by darkness while still searching for something that gives us a sense of direction. The deep blue becomes a space for quiet thoughts, uncertainty, and wonder. In the distance, small points of light appear almost like fragments of hope. They may seem far away, but their presence reminds us that even in the darkest moments, there is always something to hold on to.

Being lost does not always mean having no direction. Sometimes, it means slowing down, sitting with the uncertainty, and allowing ourselves to discover our own light.

To be Lost in Blue is to find comfort in the unknown, and to remember that even when we cannot see the way ahead, we can still keep moving toward the light
