Where do we come from? and What do we leave behind?

Gin-Halinan unfolds as a quiet yet powerful reflection on memory, movement, and the marks we carry from the land. Through handmade paper crafted from sugarcane leaves and layered prints that echo lived histories, JM Valenciano transforms material into meaningโ€”tracing stories of labor, inheritance, and belonging in Negros.

LABOR DAY HOLIDAY ADVISORY

In observance of Labor Day, the Negros Museum will be closed on May 1 and will resume regular operations the following day.

As we prepare for this important day, we pay tribute to the workers of Negros Island โ€” from farmers and fisherfolk to artisans, educators, service workers, and our own dedicated museum staff โ€” whose daily labor sustains our communities and keeps our culture, arts, and heritage alive.

We invite our visitors and partners to plan their museum visits accordingly and we look forward to welcoming you back after the holiday.

Matatagpuan ang Negros Museum, o Musรฉong Nรฉgros sa Kalye Gatuslao, Lungsod Bacolod. Ito ang panlalawigang museo ng Negros Occidental sa Kanlurang Visayas. Isa ito sa mga pangunahing atraksiyong panturista ng lungsod.

Ayon sa National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), natatangi ang museo dahil alinsunod sa layon nito, hindi ito nagtutuon ng pansin sa kagamitan at artifak, kundi sa paggamit ng kontemporaryong likhang sining at mga reproduksiyon upang ilahad ang kasaysayan ng lalawigan at buong isla ng Negros.
