Whether you are wanting a serious work of art to enhance a collection, your home, business, or perhaps something to return home with after a visit to our beautiful city, there is something for everyone.

Oil painter Craig Ho**er has been in the gallery today with his new 2027 calendars. These calendars feature a selection of his amazing oil paintings. Pop into Fine Arts Whanganui to get yours for just $30, and have a look around at the beautiful artworks. We are open 10-3 Weds-Fri, 9-1 Saturdays, and 10-1 on Sundays. Each day, you can meet one of our local collective artists and have a chat.

A quiet afternoon at Fine Art Whanganui Gallery today.

When the gallery slows down, the easel comes out. One of our artist members, Coin Qian, has been making the most of the afternoon light and spending a few hours working on her latest painting.

We rather like days like this — a gallery isn’t only a place where finished artworks are displayed. Sometimes, it’s also a place where new work quietly begins to take shape.

If you’re passing by, pop in and say hello. You might even catch a painting in progress. 🎨
