Established in 2007 in Wellington, this leading fine art gallery has built a strong reputation for presenting thoughtfully curated exhibitions that celebrate both established and emerging talent. Established in Wellington in 2007 by Ron Epskamp, and recently moved to a new location at 32 Brandon Street, we exhibit and sell a diverse range of high-quality artworks, highlighted by monthly exhibitions. We pride ourselves in having built long standing relationships with both our artists and clients, and we continue to develop an audience that ensures the success of both the artists and the gallery. The work of GG is defined by a striking sense of "truth." In a contemporary landscape often crowded with derivative styles, Sarah’s voice is unmistakably her own.

Her practice is driven by an impactful narrative that refuses to sacrifice its "raw" edge for commercial appeal.

Instead, she translates her personal and social observations into a visual language that is both visceral and intellectually stimulating.

Very Superstitious looks at the small superstitious habits people use every day to feel in control. From a black cat crossing the road and a hat on the bed to an umbrella opened indoors or three people clinking glasses, Volykhine's paintings focus on familiar signs of good and bad luck. The works explore how these quirky behaviours are often our way of coping with stress and uncertainty.
