Today marks the start of World Space Week, the world's largest celebration of space science and exploration.

Held each year from 4-10 October, the dates commemorate two milestones in space history: the launch of Sputnik 1, the world's first artificial satellite, on 4 October 1957, and the Outer Space Treaty, which helped establish rules for the peaceful exploration of space.

This year's theme, Rocket Revolution, celebrates the innovations in launch technology that are transforming how we explore space.

From Sputnik 1 to today's powerful launch vehicles, every journey to the stars starts with a launch.

Looking for something spooky this Halloween season?

Turns out you don't need ghosts, ghouls, or haunted houses...

Space is terrifying enough.

Join us for Astronomy on Tap: 1,000 Ways to Die in Space, an entertaining journey through the universe's deadliest environments. From black holes and exploding stars to deadly radiation and the vacuum of space, we'll explore the many ways the cosmos is actively trying to kill you.

Your ticket includes a drink on arrival and first-class in-flight snacks before we venture into the depths of space beneath our full-dome planetarium.
