A petition you may want to sign:
"Together, Toi o Taraika Arts Wellington and Wellington Independent Arts Trust are calling for action to protect the Wellington City Council’s Creative Capital budget:
- The arts are not a luxury. They are part of how a city works. Part of our essential civic infrastructure.
- They employ artists, technicians, educators, designers.
- They support local businesses.
- They shape who we are.
- Cutting funding cuts all of that.
If you care about Wellington’s future, stand with us."

Now Voyager magazine, Issue no.1, has just come out. It may not be available retail here (published in NYC, printed in UK) so here is the story by Sean Williams, featuring photographs by Andrew Ross. The 4-page fold-out panorama is just stunning. Image reproduction & design is top notch. Very proud of Andrew's contribution to this publication.

In 1886, a volcanic eruption buried the Pink and White Terraces in New Zealand. Now, rival scientists, Māori tribes, and a government under pressure are racing to determine whether the terraces survived beneath Lake Tarawera.

Gallery CLOSED on Saturday 13th, sorry.
Courtenay Place and surrounding streets will be closed on Saturday - pedestrian access only - for an event; the launch of the 3rd Avatar movie.
When the street has been closed like this previously, I've found that absolutely nobody visits the gallery or any other part of my business here, so I'm taking Saturday off and enjoying a two-day weekend like a normal person : - )
Andrew Ross' exhibition will be open again on Monday 15th December and will close at 1pm on Tuesday 23rd September for a proper break. Re-opening 5th January.
