TODAY - Sat. 30th, 3.30PM
Have you ever seen an artist paint abstract works in response to improvised live music? Well, I hadn't until a couple of months ago until playing a Filtersphere show at Common Ground in Featherstone Watching Rosalie paint was immerserve and fascinating. The whole thing went so well we're repeating it this afternoon in Wellington. Come along. $10 at the door.
Doors at 3.30pm, Perpets with Rosalie Jurczenko creating 3 abstract paintings to the guitar duo's improvisation before your eyes and ears.
Then Filtersphere - improvised, ambient, exploratory - never the same twice. Nigel Baxter joins the duo with vocal effects, John Kingston with vintage Gretsch guitar and a mind-bending array of pedals that are small works of art in themselves. And the craziest drum set up you will probably ever see.
$10 at the door - Paywave (no transaction fee), Eftpos, or cash (bring the right amount). Koha is also welcome.
We're not usually much bothered about money for these events but Rosalie, Zac and Antony have travelled over from the Wairarapa to do this show and we'd like to at least cover their costs.
