In 2004 publiseer Hemel & See Boeke Rust se debuutroman "Martha: ’n verhaal oor Martha Solomons, Countess of Stamford".

A group of remarkable women from our community, each with unique stories and experiences, came together to celebrate International Women's Day, sharing, empowering, and supporting one another. The Wellington Museum created an environment conducive to healing and empowerment. We are grateful to the ladies who participated in, and contributed to, this special occasion.

Wellington Museum took part in the Regional Speech contest with our town's learners competing against learners from Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch. The bar was set high and the competition was truly as tough as nails.

Hence, we are extremely proud to announce that Abby-Leigh Davids, a learners from Berg River High, was unanimously announced as the winner. Abby-Leigh delivered a though provoking speech and delivered it to highest standard.
Miale Bindemann, a Gr.11 learner from Hugenote High was in third place; delivering a well prepared speech in a finely articulated manner.
Well done to both of you and we wish you well with the Provincial Speech Contest that will take place on October, 24th in Montague.
We are so proud of you.
