Mahuki means perceptive, ideas that spring from the mind, well-spring of inspiration. Mahuki is a cultural sector focused business accelerator programme housed in The National Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. Through Mahuki, innovators will work with Te Papa’s collections, experts and our millions of visitors to build the Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums of Tomorrow. Applications

for the 2017 programme open on April 3rd. Teams will meet real world challenges facing the global cultural sector and find new ways to connect with New Zealand’s culture, stories and taonga.

Culture Tech enriches communities and inspires curiosity in the pursuit of new innovations and emergent technologies with a focus on preserving and amplifying culture. Applications for the 2018 programme open on the 28th of May. Teams will meet real world challenges facing the global cultural sector and find new ways to connect with New Zealand’s culture, stories and taonga.
