These gorgeous sculptures by SOPHIE PRENDERGAST are now available down at Black Shed. Transforming materials from New Zealand’s old villas and bungalows, Sophie preserves the character, history and stories told within them. Super cute!

A few pics from the Anna Tang Paint Carving workshops on the weekend. Was so much fun, everyone had a great time and came away with a beautiful piece of art. If you missed out, don’t worry we’ll be getting Anna back again for some more carving sessions

Went and visited the lovely Andrea Ventling, Auckland NZ at her studio this week and came home with these gorgeous paintings which are now adorning the gallery walls. Inks and Acrylics over silver leaf, these absolutely shimmer and need to be seen in person.

Anna Tang Paint Carving Workshops
Only a couple of spaces left on each session. Friday 9th October 1-4pm and Sat 10th October 10am-1pm $140
Using a paint carving technique, Anna’s artworks are layered with 30-40 coats of white acrylic paint followed by 3 coats of a top colour. The design is then carved out revealing the white underneath, creating a rich texture to the surface of the work.
