Isaac Weston is a Tauranga-based copper artist creating vibrant sculptures and wall art through a unique process blending acids, salts, and sunlight.

nic beauty of this medium. Isaac's creative expression ranges from sculpture to art panels. He produces high quality gallery work and is inspired by the changing textures and colours of the materials he crafts from. Isaac works closely with his clients to capture their vision when engaged to create a commission piece. Isaac's art works feature in permanent public gardens at the Tauranga Historic Village, Tauranga Racecourse and the Te Puna Quarry Park. They also appeared in magazines, online news stories and on TV. One of his 1.6mt Copper Patina Art Circles featured in the winning lounge room on The Block NZ 2021. He has been a guest artist at the Bay of Plenty Garden and Art Festival for 2018 and 2020 and will appear again in 2022. Isaac's work can be seen at the galleries and garden centers listed below under the brands of "Re.Work.It" and Isaac Weston Artist". Today I had the opportunity to present one of my artworks as an option for The Northern Group’s office in Tauranga CBD.

Director Lee Stringer was incredibly welcoming, and it was a great experience to meet him and see their impressive CBD office space. Even better, Lee loved my Copper + Steel artwork Seasons II, and it’s now proudly greeting new clients in the front foyer.

A big thank you to Olivia from Spacefully Yours for suggesting my work would be a great fit for the space, she was absolutely right. 🙂

Thick copper. Hammered surfaces. Deliberate indents.

Each piece I create carries a past life - reclaimed copper with its own history, marks and all. It’s not silky smooth, and that’s exactly the point. I’m drawn to the rawness, the imperfections, the story etched into every surface.

If you’re someone who connects with art that has lived a little… my work might just be for you.

Someone in Auckland is seriously in someone’s good books 😊

With a 7th (copper) anniversary coming up, one of our customers wanted to surprise her husband with something meaningful. We mocked up four different pieces across three walls, and “Aspire” came out on top.

A beautiful choice to mark a special milestone, congratulations to these lovebirds on their new artwork and a rock-solid love story 🧡

Delighted for the team at Omaha Bay Vineyard on the sale of this copper + patina whale’s tail.
Set against such a beautiful vineyard backdrop, it’s easy to see why this piece found its perfect home… who wouldn’t want to browse art in a setting like that? 🍇
