An interesting project ~Machinery Maintenance/Restoration~has now had a HUGE boost with funding from the Taihape Community Small Projects/Grant Fund.

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT
The purpose is to provide basic equipment for new members with mechanical interests to help maintain, preserve our tractors & stationary engines. The funding provided will start this year.

Successful Funding ~ We applied and we received from the Rangitikei District Council - Community Initiatives Fund money for new signs to be placed at each end of the towns entrance way. Vistors & locals see our empty events boards & probably think we don't have a productive town BUT we do! Our museum is really interesting & we want to shout it to ALL.
We hugely appreciate this acknowledgement from RDC .😇😁

A Winning mother & son team 'Quacks in a Paddock' has WON the inaugural Taihape Heritage Treasure Hunt which was held over the Rangitikei Heritage Weekend 16th/17th May. Well done!
The $100 fuel vouchers were very much appreciated as were the jelly beans!😄
