Inspired by my love of an oversized fur hood, and being down south, I wanted to create something that felt both luxurious and connected to the landscape I’m surrounded by — rich brown lamb shearling, fox fur hood, designed for cold Queenstown evenings.
The lamb shearling came from local farms here in New Zealand and was tanned overseas before finding its way back south. You would think sourcing lamb shearlings in NZ would be easy but I can tell you it is not! I was very lucky to get my hands on these ones and the black ones I used.
From sketch to finished jacket, a lot of research into designs and a bit of my winging it and it will be sweet attitude and it came together. It feels pretty good to finally have this one finished. Unlike a painting, they seem to have a finished point which I quite like the concept of.. ✨😊
