We had these lovely baskets of fruit for sale at the Morrinsville Museum Market Day stall . We sold a few but there are several left over. You get the basket as well as the fruit for a donation. Lovely fresh, locally grown fruit.

They are in the foyer of the museum at 41 Canada Street but they will need to be collected over the next couple of days to retain their freshness.

We have an open day coming up on June 28th. We are including a short play that tells the story of the naming of the town and the main street. We are looking for 8 young people around the age of twelve who want to try out being Thomas Morrin, John Studholme a gold prospector and some villagers. The play is set in the early 1880s and is not very long. We will have a couple of rehearsals on 13 or 14th June and 19 or 20th June It will be performed up to 3 times on the 28th. If you are interested please send a message.

Tauhei School finished Term 1 on a high note with an exciting trip to the Morrinsville Museum. After weeks of studying local history, the students, organized into "buddy groups" of mixed ages, put their knowledge to the test. There was a real buzz of energy as the children stepped into the exhibition hall to be the first school group to explore the museum’s brand-new exhibition.

Happy Easter from Morrinsville Museum, we will have an Easter Raffle at the Morrinsville Country Market.
