Create a Wool Painting: Aotearoa Birds Needle Felting Workshop with Agi

Join us for a creative and relaxing workshop where you will learn how to “paint with wool” and create your own beautiful bird artwork inspired by Aotearoa's nature.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who loves nature, colour, and handmade art — no experience needed.

What You Will Do:

In this workshop, you will create 2D wool artwork featuring Aotearoa birds such as a kingfisher, robin, tui, fantail and others.

I will guide you through the entire process, from the background to shaping the bird, so you can confidently complete your own unique piece.

– No experience needed – suitable for beginners. Don’t worry if you’re not confident at drawing there will be a selection of ready-made bird templates available for you to use
– Step-by-step guidance in a friendly, supportive environment
– Learn how to blend colours and create soft, painterly effects
– A calm, mindful and rewarding creative process
