Norsewood Pioneer Museum The museum has been openend in Dec. 1965.

It started as a project to collect history and memorabilia of the settlers from 1872 arriving in the 70 mile bush, later became Norsewood, Tararua district.

The Norsewood Pioneer Museum is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm. For your convenience, the interior lighting is controlled by a timer and can be activated at the front door, illuminating all rooms; after 10 minutes, the lights will automatically turn off, but can be reactivated as needed.

Our Annual General Meeting will take place this Sunday, 24 May at 3pm at the Norsewood Pioneer Museum Information Centre. We encourage members of the community to ensure the Museum's future. Everybody is welcome and afternoon tea will be provided.
