Spring has arrived at White Sail 🌸

We’ve just received these beautiful new ceramic works by artist Tom Summerville. Delicate botanical forms, including this stunning Rhododendron flower, bring a lovely sense of the season into the gallery.

There’s something so beautiful about flowers in spring — and these ones will last a little longer. 🤍

Come and have a look at Tom’s new work.

IF AN EXHIBITION WERE A PARTY…

Heather Wilson’s work wouldn’t be the wallflower in the corner.

It would be the one wearing the brightest colours, making everyone smile and starting a conversation. 😉

Exuberant, bold, textural, colourful and quirky, Heather’s work has a wonderful energy all of its own.

We’re featuring three of her colourful works at White Sail Gallery, finished with a gorgeous high gloss that really brings the colour to life.

Come meet Heather’s work. 🌈

Graham Kirk's latest print has just landed — Kermit at East End Beach. 🐸
Even the most famous frog in the world can't resist that unmistakable Taranaki black sand and salty air. We love how Graham captures that classic East End energy, muppet guest star and all.

Introducing ‘XX’, a beautiful original diptych by New Zealand artist Anna Tang.

Inspired by the gardens of her clients and the unique beauty of Aotearoa, Anna brings her design background into her art through a distinctive paint-carving technique.

Each piece is built up with 30–40 layers of white acrylic before being finished with three layers of colour. Anna then carefully carves into the surface, revealing the white beneath and creating a beautifully textured, almost sculptural finish.

A quiet, considered work with so much detail to discover.

‘XX’ — Acrylic carving on board
26 × 46cm each | Original diptych | Ready to hang

We’re incredibly excited to be showcasing our first ever original artwork by Rachel Walker at The White Sail Gallery.

Rachel has captured the kārearea, New Zealand’s native falcon, in her beautiful signature style — full of colour, character and intricate detail. ‘Falcon in the Backyard’ — 2026 is painted in watercolour and ink on 300gsm Saunders Waterford paper, and presented in a beautiful light oak frame.
A beautiful piece of contemporary New Zealand art, celebrating a truly special bird of Aotearoa. 🦅
