Move Me by Rebecca Beyer
Acrylic on canvas. 61cm x 91cm
Rebecca is a painter and printmaker. Her recognisable style draws the viewer in with her storytelling. Rebecca has a working studio at Gover St Gallery where you can see her finished work and work in progress. Have a chat with Rebecca, in between brushstrokes, during Festival week. One of eight artists based at the gallery and well worth coming to meet.

Letting Go by Holly Smith

Holly's work is a riot of colour, showcasing her personality through effervescent semi-abstract floral artworks. Capturing a thought, an emotion or a moment through her direct approach while reflecting on her 1970's childhood. Holly has a number of works in The Big Exhibition and is well worth coming to see.

Becky Dawson, also known as Mrs D, is a versatile self-taught artist based in South Taranaki, with 20 years of creative exploration across photography, printmaking and sculpture. Driven by curiosity and a love of experimentation, Becky enjoys combining materials and techniques to discover unexpected results and create works with a unique character.
Becky has a number of work in The Big Exhibition and is one of the eight artists available for a chat during Festival Week. Well worth coming to see.

Lester focuses on the essence and character of a landscape rather than meticulous details. His landscapes are expressionistic, an intuitive reflection of what he perceives and experiences. Evoking the mood and atmosphere of the vista for the viewer to enjoy. Well worth coming to see.

Upstairs, Green Carpet II by Franquoi
Mixed Media, Papier Mache 22cm x 16cm
Franquoi is a French artist who pushes the boundaries of surface and sculpture with a joyful refusal to follow the rules. Bringing non-conformist beauty to the unexpected. There are a number of works by Franquoi at Gover St Gallery. Well worth coming to see.

Fly by Laurel Davis.
Handcrafted Copper, Brass and Pattern Paper. 15cm x 15cm x 10cm
Laurel is best known for her small sculptures of giant-sized bugs. Delicately constructed to be life-like but whimsical and amazingly detailed. The Big Exhibition has a number of Laurel's bugs which are always well worth coming to see.

Reflections by Cathy Campbell-Smart
