It was very special to be part of the Reopening of the Coates Memorial Church in Matakohe today. The Church is a national memorial to Rt Hon Joseph Gordon Coates, Prime Minister of NZ 1925-1928. The Kauri Museum stands proudly alongside the Coates Memorial Church and in Matakohe not far from Ruatuna where Gordon Coates and the Coates family lived. What a privilege 🙏
