Last week we did a roadie, for a series of referrer hui in Kawerau, Rotorua and Te Puke. 🛣️🚗
It was special to connect with some of the many people and organisations who refer whānau to us, including community groups, nurses, social service providers, property managers, and more.
Our referral partners are essential in helping us meet whānau who need our help most. They are invaluable to the success of our mahi, and we are incredibly thankful for every single one.
It was a full day hui, and we were privileged to hear from Dr Sea Rotmann on her evaluation of our 20 Degrees vision and insights into tackling energy hardship in Aotearoa.
Dr Nevil Pierse and Ellie Johnson presented on the impact of the Healthy Homes Initiative across the motu, while Jo from Sustainability Options dove into common whānau circumstances we encounter and the kinds of support and approach we would take. Nalee from MBIE Tenancy Services' wrapped things up by providing practical information about tenant and landlord rights, as well as available support.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and shared their whakaaro. Special thanks to our colleague Jessie for bringing the hui together behind the scenes, and for our wonderful hosts KADAP, Te Arawa Whānau Ora Collective, Poutiri Wellness Centre, and Grace from Kaitahi for keeping everyone well fed.
Thanks to community collaboration, we're building stronger connections to support whānau across the Bay of Plenty. 💚🧡
