It looks like a wet week but there are indoor activities at the Heritage Park.
Have a seat in the Big Engine Shed and watch the audio visual show then head to the craft centre to see all of the craft displays, the Fox Moth and the Dairy exhibit.
The Park is open Wednesday and Saturday 10-3. There’s no charge but donations are appreciated.

Running times are 10am till noon, then 12.30 till 3pm.

The weather is not promising for tomorrow Saturday 8/8/2026 so we may not be able to run the trains.
Weather permitting it's $2 per ride or $10 for a 6 ride concession.
The park will be open from 10am till 3pm, and the railway hopefully will operate from 10am till noon, and then again from 12.30 till3pm.

There will be a guided walking tour of the Mudfish Bush Railway this Saturday starting at 10.30am from the station, weather permitting. The walk will be approximately 700 metres with stops along the way at various points of interest around the track.
Due to the walking tour, the trains will only be running from 12.30 till 3pm, again weather permitting.

Matariki weekend has come and gone, the weather stayed dry allowing us to run all the advertized days and times. We had a great time and hope all our passengers enjoyed the night run as much as we did.
A huge thankyou to Hokitika Community Trust for the lighting display around the track, it looked fantastic.
The weather for Saturday is looking marginal so fingers crossed.
As usual, railway running from 10am till noon, then again from 12.30 till 3pm weather permitting $2 per ride or $10 for a 6 ride concession ticket.
