We will be closed tomorrow for Anzac Day.

This is the RED CROSS WAR-TIME RATIONING COOKERY BOOK. It is a flip type, paper covered book that has a recipe for every day of the year, as well as hints for coping with stress and rationing. Every page has a hint using a Hansells product. It was issued in 1943 by the New Zealand Department of Health.

We recently lost another valuable member at the museum Rosemary Dunlop. Her memory recall on Mataura people and places was nothing short of amazing. If Rosemary didn’t know something she would look through our many files and books at the Museum till she found it. Her contribution to the museum will be sadly missed.
