Big effort at the Roger Mahan Heritage Center today.
Thanks to Millar Engineering for delivering the telehandler to lift the big engines into the new display area.
Thanks to Ociania Gold and Terra Cat for making this happen.
Cat 789 engine and the Cat 0398 gen set from McMurdo Station in Antartica. We will get the history of these in the near future.

Sadly we advise of the passing of our friend Peter Lynn after a courageous 15 months fighting an illness which he couldn’t beat. Peter’s legacy of his World Stirling Engine Collection is in the RMHC for all to see. Peter was so proud of this collection which he considered to be the most complete representation of the different types anywhere in the World.

Peter's funeral will be held at 11am on Friday 17 April NZST in the MSA Ballroom, Ashburton. Access is via 266 Tancred Street or 231 Burnett St. There is limited off street parking by the Havelock Street entrance - we encourage people to park on the street or in the paid carpark on Burnett St so people with mobility issues can use the venue parking. Light refreshments will be provided after the funeral along with an opportunity to share some of the tall tales about the Master of Disaster.

Peter was never one for formailty so please feel free to wear your favourite kite tshirt or loud shirt. We will also have a selection from Peter's private collection available on the day (on the condition you take it away afterwards!).

Arrival of the Case Vintage Machinery Clubs Library on Millar Engineering truck.
Big thanks to Keith Howden and Des Smith for making this happen. Also Tyson and Jeremy from Millar Engineering delivered in great condition
This will become part of The Roger Mahan Heritage archives for future generations to be able to utilise.

Today we celebrate the legacy that Roger has left us for future generations.
We look back over 70 years when he started the collection of historic vehicles with history of the development of New Zealand be it Horse drawn, farming, trucks and earthmoving. These all played significant part in the history which Rogers and trustees, volunteers are able to bring his dream of having a museum to share the story for future generations. We see this with families grandparents and visitors from all over the world that visit to see what is hidden behind the doors of the Roger Mahan Heritage Centre.
