🌿 LABOUR DAY

Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom, Shannon Library and Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō will be closed this Monday, 26 October, for Labour Day.

Voting will still be available at Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō from 9am–5pm. Please enter via the Youth Space on Bath Street, with voting taking place in the Open Meeting Room. All other services will be closed for the day.

Enjoy the long weekend, everyone! We’ll see you back on Tuesday. 💚

We’re wrapping up the school holidays reading challenge with a BIG celebration in the Youth Space at Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō! 🥰 Everyone’s welcome, so bring the kids along for a bouncy castle, face painting, games, spot prizes, brunch and seedlings to take home! 🌱🎨

Pick up a pair of these and you'll get something extra. Every set of paper crane earrings in our shop comes with its own tiny origami box, folded to match.

Each crane is folded by hand, one at a time, by a maker from just down the coast.

Come and have a look, they're even better in person.
