Hammer time!

Over AGM weekend the workshop was briefly turned into a forge, with plates being shaped into firebox ends. Marty R and Steve M provided knowledge and guidance, with many hands joining in on the process.

On the 3rd of October we held the clubs' AGM. We appreciate everyone who traveled near and far to join us for both the meeting and the dinner at The Farmers Son.

Alec B has stepped down as Chairman after 14 years in various Officers positions. On behalf of the club, thank you so much for time and effort you've poured into the club. Your knowledge and wisdom, so willingly shared, is very much appreciated.

Club Weekend is this week (19th and 20th September). You know the drill; come hang out, tell stories, get some odd jobs done, stay for dinner and our monthly meeting.

BBQ is hot from 5.15pm on the Saturday night, meeting starts after the BBQ at 7pm. Bring your own protein, sides will be provided. See you this weekend

Also! Thank you to those who sent in answers for the What and Where game. The correct answer was McLaren 1177, located between Taumarunui and Te Kuiti. John M, Fergus M and Dan H each received a morning tea shout.

It's time to go back to school!
It’s that time of the year again. Steam School is back on for 2026. Hosted
by Steve McClune and several of the clubs ticketed drivers, this very educational monthly class is well worth attending to freshen up skills or to
work towards your ticket.
Anyone can join in if you are a fully paid up member as this is part of your
membership. Non members pay will need to pay $20 per session. Classes are on the first Sunday of every month through autumn/winter, with the next session being this Sunday, 6th of September, 🔴9am🔴 at the clubrooms. Contact Steve McClune

It's that time of the month again, and hopefully, the freezer door has been left closed for it! 'Tis Club Weekend this week (15th and 16th August).

You know the drill; come for a day or pack a pillow and stay for the weekend. BBQ is hot from around 5.15 pm on Saturday evening. Bring your protein, and we'll supply veges and banter. Committee meeting begins at 7pm.

As always, there's couple of odd jobs:
- cleanout and repairs on water tanks
- repairs and painting on the rides trailers

Hope to see you this weekend out at Maewa.

Good morning! The next club newsletter is being prepared and I'm after your photos, stories and achievements. All photos and written pieces submitted will be credited to you.

Please email [email protected] with the subject line "newsletter". This is especially important for those sending photos, as messenger eats the quality and makes them unusable for printing the newsletter.

It's our mid winter club weekend this coming weekend. Forecast at this stage isn't for it to be too cold, so come on over and chuck some food on the barby and spin a yarn or two while warming the hands over the flames.
The July Committee Meeting is at 7 pm on Saturday.
On Sunday, we've got cleaning/repairing the water tanks, Club Mac 917 overhaul, and cleaning out the spouting on the buildings on our list.

Come out for the day or pack a bag and spend the weekend. We have plenty of bunks. See you this weekend
