Coromandel Open Studios Arts Tour is on for the second weekend 12th and 13th October all around Coromandel. 36 artists this year have joined together to make this event amazing. Come and visit - open studios 10am to 4pm both days, Hauraki House has a full display of each artist's work. So proud to be involved in this fabulous Coromandel-wide event. "As a visual artist of light and colour, capturing the light is everything when I paint. It is always the light that offers soft or vibrant changes to each work, whether it be in my chosen mediums of pastel, oil or acrylics. It is my inspiration, changing with the seasons, the subtle tones and values transforming shapes and landscapes in just a matter of seconds as they are laid on the canvas. My style is flexible, my genres varied, and the mediums I use altering with each piece, offering the viewer an opportunity to enjoy a wide, unique and original range of artwork.
Coromandel seems the ideal place to nurture my art passion, so I moved here last year and opened The Oaks Gallery. You are invited to visit and take some time to enjoy my paintings, hung for your viewing and purchase. I am usually in my studio and workshop onsite, and always happy to discuss any work or commission with you."

Coromandel Open Studio Arts Tour is on again this weekend - 12th and 13th October 10am to 4pm each day. This year 36 artists have opened their studio and gallery doors to visitors and art enthusiasts. The Oaks Gallery is of course one of those, and we have had lots of people coming through last weekend and during the week. There are flags flying and signs on each studio, with an Arts Tour guide available in Hauraki House or the Coromandel Town Information Centre right in the heart of Coromandel town. Come and join us again this weekend and delve into and enjoy the many artisans in this area. The Oaks Gallery is open both days from 10am to 4pm each day. Would love to see you!

THE OAKS GALLERY is open this Matariki weekend - Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm. Beautiful range of paintings and resin created work. Painting commissions welcomed. WORKSHOP - Introduction to painting fur and animals with pastels.
NOTE: EXTRA DAY ADDED DUE TO DEMAND

I know you wanted these workshops, so here they are. This is the first introductory lesson on painting pets and animals, starting with a mountain lion.

WHEN: Saturday 13 July 2024 and now Sat 27 July 2024
WHERE: Coromandel Aerodrome clubrooms (4km before Coromandel township).
TIME: 9.30am to 3.30pm
Light lunch and refreshments provided - included in the price of $75.
I will be booking only 6 spaces per workshop, and more dates will become available if you can't make this one, or it is booked out. So be quick if you want to come on the 13th July.

Get together with your friends and share the ride. Bring your cameras for all those beautiful scenic photos you no doubt will want to take on the way and then paint later.

KINGS BIRTHDAY WEEKEND. Open Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm, and then Monday 10am to 3pm. The weather looks to be fine so it's going to be a great weekend for a roadie so come and visit me. Some new paintings to see, resin creations - bookmarks, coasters and the "Google Ocean" cheeseboards and platters. Not just an art gallery! Eftpos, Visa and Mastercard available inhouse. ART TUITION - individual tuition and workshops coming soon. Finally I have a new space for teaching so I am calling out to all of my previous and new students to let you know! Oil, acrylic and pastel tuition available. Held at 30 Driving Creek Rd, Coromandel. Will be available from last week in April, during the week and/or weekends. The number of hours is up to you. Beach Hop 2024. This weekend we welcomed some Beach Hop 2024 visitors to The Oaks Gallery.

Once a year Coromandel buzzes with amazing cars and people. Just loved the matching outfits of Neil, Rhonda, Diane and Brett. Sunny warm weather brought people into The Oaks Gallery. Thrilled to have you all here. Come again when you are next in Coromandel.
