The Story of Yaldhurst Museum
On 26 December 1968 the museum opened to the public as “Yaldhurst Transport Museum”
Yaldhurst Museum is committed to offering visitors a full and rich experience of New Zealand’s technological past and has a unique rural setting close center of Christchurch. The aim of the Yaldhurst Museum is to preserve and restore examples of early transport vehicles and present them for public entertainment,interest and education. In addition to vehicles themselves the museum collects other technologies in the collection, especially printing.
Yaldhurst is a private museum and receives no public funding of any kind whatsoever. If you have enjoyed your visit please tell your friends and family about the Museum.
