A selection of the latest arrivals for your Friday viewing, including a cute little blue penguin by Gerard McCabe. We don't often receive stainless steel work from Anneke Bester, so this makes a nice alternative to her usual bronze artworks. And we're always happy to see Jeremy Leeming's most popular pounamu earrings.

After quite a long gap, Justin Culina has supplied some of his popular bowls and platters for our enjoyment. Also a great selection of Love Knot colours, which have been sorely missed as a useful gift option.

This is the last week to view ‘A Place to Land’ featuring John Hill’s cityscapes and Andi Regan’s floral pollinators.

It has been a pleasure to host these colourful and intricate works by two dedicated artists who have honed their craft over a number of years.

All works are also available to view online at www.form.co.nz/a-place-to-land and shipping is available wherever you need it. We look forward to seeing you soon ✨

Have you heard through the grapevine? Our next exhibition sees the return of Elena Renker and Sue Scobie for a combined show of their new work. These potters are highly regarded in their respective specialised area of ceramics, we're very excited to see the new collection from each artist. Join us in June for this juxtaposition of fineries!

Anita Halsall-Quinlan creates jewellery that carries the marks of making. Tool marks, finger prints and texture embedded into the wax during the forming process. Working with brass, bronze and silver, each piece is carved or formed by hand, embracing perfect imperfection. We currently have a range of her rings, online and in-store.

John Hill is a Christchurch artist who has been producing sculptural works ever since graduating from Otago Polytech Art School in Dunedin.

For 'A Place to Land' John has developed work derived from the built environment focusing on the Gable form, producing works reminiscent of houses and cities.

By incorporating the Fibonnaci Sequence in the form of the Golden Section creating Golden Rectangles, every block has a relationship to all the other blocks and the overall form it sits with and within.

This process provides the work with an overall visual harmony and balance.

The works are finished with five to six coats of wax and coloured oxides which is layered on and polished off.

'A Place to Land' is on until 30 May and available to view online at www.form.co.nz/a-place-to-land

The latest and only Mulitplane artwork we have from Mark Cowden is now on display. These unique designs are a limited giclee print on paper, framed with non-reflective glass and are perfect for a hallway, where the image changes as you walk past.

Andi Regan is a Wanaka based artist whose process is primarily concerned with the re-purposing of man-made materials, transforming usually industrial everyday materials into organic sculptures that reflect the patterns and textures of mother-nature.

For 'A Place to Land' she has dyed nylon and zip ties to create visually stunning pieces that serve to highlight the complex world of pollination. Shining a light on Aotearoa’s unsung heroes—our native alternative pollinators.

Andi celebrates these crucial, often overlooked creatures, illustrating their vital role in sustaining the genetic diversity and reproductive health of our unique New Zealand forests.

You can view the exhibition work in the gallery or online at www.form.co.nz/a-place-to-land

Scenes from the opening event for 'A Place to Land'. It was awesome to have both artists in attendance to welcome the volume of visitors to this colourful exhibition, and explain the complex design processes involved with creating these pieces, that have developed over many years of work.
