In the mid weekly paper was a historical article on the travela and adventure of Harcourt Roland Williams.

If you would like to read the full account of his voyage with many funny passages this is available to read in the "it's in the bag" exhibition at the Marlborough Museum. His diary covers the period 1892 to 1893 and is not a long read but quite entertaining. So come and spend some time with Roland.

The Marlborough Archives are saddened by the passing of Ron Hebberd. Ron was a passionate researcher and spent much time at the archives delighting us with his stories and providing us with valuable information. Ron you will be sorely missed.

Ron's last donation to the Marlborough Archives was a cookbook. I personally have made many of these recipes and they are outstanding.

Our thoughts go out to Shirley and the family.

It is with the greatest sadness that we at the Marlborough Archives report that Barry Holdaway has passed away. He will be long remembered for his dedication to history in Marlborough, in particular the Wairau Bar and Dillons Point Road. We extend our condolences to his family and thank him for donating his book collection to us, which will provide a valuable resource for researchers. RIP Barry.

The Marlborough Museum has launched its heritage colouring books. Containing images and general information about the amazing local landmarks from the Echo to Awatere Road Rail bridge.

The Tamariki colouring is suitable for the youngsters amongst us!

The images come from the Marlborough Archives vault of photographs so this is a truly unique set of colouring books.
