Every now and then we have a number of spare copies of books and booklets. We have these two jubilee booklets available for sale. They are in pretty rough condition 😀 i don't know what they would be worth, so make me an offer 👍

Here are two coloured unframed portraits that were found at the Old Smith Home in Stamford Street.

We have the names of Mr & Mrs Naber - but we do not know if these are the people who brought them in or the people in the portraits. Can anyone identify these people?

Merry Christmas! We are closed Christmas day, Boxing day, New Years day and the day after. Please remember we are 100% only open because of our wonderful volunteers. These photos are part of a collection of 27 photos that came to us via the Red Cross Op shop and all seem to be of the same family. There is only one that has names on the back but all christian names and no surname which isn't very helpful. Several wedding photos from various eras. If anyone recognises anyone, please let us know.

Have a look at how well the work at the sod cottage is going! What a great job being done!
We would appreciate the help of a builder or carpenter to help complete the project. The cottage is needing part of a window lintel repaired, a piece of glass replaced in another window, and some roof, gutter and down pipe repairs. We would normally do this ourselves, but our workforce is aging and are no longer available for the bigger jobs. If you would be able to help, please contact Roz at the museum or email [email protected]. it would be very much appreciated.

Hello all.
Our Sod Cottage restoration project continues from Monday with phase two, work on the exterior! Therefore the site will be closed for the next 6 to 8 weeks.
