We were delighted to open our newest exhibition, Magahala Tokamata, A Mindful Time, on Friday 25 September and thank everyone who joined us to celebrate the opening.
Magahala Tokamata, A Mindful Time exhibition is a reminder for us to pause and take a time to reflect on what matters most in life. During this time and space with so much suffering and turmoil around the world, we are encouraged to remember our heritage, our forebears and where we come from. With the minds, hearts and hands that created the works in this exhibition, Falepipi he Mafola Niuean Handcraft Group Inc. is highlighting the impact and awareness of time, and being mindful of promoting intergenerational wellness of families - from elders, to parents, to children - by continuing to share knowledge and practice of Niue Culture and heritage.
Magahala Tokamata, A Mindful Time - Ko e fakatātāaga nai kua fakamanatu mai kia tautolu ke ooki mo e fakatilatila ko e heigoa la e kakano uh o he moui. Ko e magahala kua hohoko kia ai kau loga lahi e tau matematekelea mo e felakutaki e tau kautu he lalolagi, kae fakamafanatia mai ke manatu e tupumaiaga, tau tupuna mo e ha tautolu a fenoga. Ko e tau manatu, tau loto mo e tau lima ne tufugatia e tau gahua lima he fakatātāaga nai, ko Falepipi he Mafola Niuean Handcraft Group kua mailoga e magahala uka, kua hohoko ki ai mo e tokamata e tau malōlō tino he ke tumau e lotomatala ke fakafetui auloa ke he moui agamotu mo e tau taoga motu a Niue.
The exhibition features works by members of Falepipi He Mafola Niuean Handcraft Group Inc. and is on display from 25 September – 31 October 2026.
