Join us for this monthโ€™s session of Art Club, inspired by Peata Larkinโ€™s current exhibition, โ€˜Silent Kลreroโ€™, on view at The Arts House Trust until 16 August.

Weโ€™ll begin with a short tour of the exhibition led by our friendly gallery staff, then weโ€™ll play with colour and pattern in a hands-on weaving workshop. Everything you need is provided.

Published by Massey University Press, the book features Jann Medlicott Acorn Fiction Prize winner Whiti Hereaka (Ngฤti Tลซwharetoa, Te Arawa) and acclaimed artist Peata Larkin (Te Arawa, Tลซhourangi, Ngฤti Whakaue, Ngฤti Tลซwharetoa), cousins who share the same whakapapa, in a collaboration based on the Fibonacci number sequence.

On the occasion of Larkinโ€™s current exhibition, โ€˜Silent Kลreroโ€™, on view at The Arts House Trust until 16 August 2026, we are delighted to have copies available in our shop. Facilitated by Tฤmaki Makaurau-based curator/educator Heather Galbraith, the discussion will span production systems and sustainable practices, through to exploring personal narratives through object making.
