Volunteer Gallery Internship at Antoinette Godkin Gallery

We are looking for a self-motivated candidate with superior organisation and communication skills, and above all, not afraid to ask relevant questions. They must show initiative and feel comfortable interacting with a range of people from clients to artists. The role will suit an undergraduate or graduate student in Visual Arts or Art History. Administrative experience is important.

The volunteer intern will work closely with the director in developing projects and assisting on tasks. They will learn about conceiving and installing exhibitions, maintaining client databases, organising and distributing marketing materials and web content management.

Our ideal candidate will be a reliable and organised individual and fill our internship position for up to 6 to 8 months, after which if you are enthusiastic to continue on being passionate and knowledgeable about contemporary art there will be opportunities to become a full time member of the gallery after a successful internship.

The hours for the role will be approximately two days a week, 12-5pm.

Most of my successful applicants have achieved top positions in important institutions and Galleries. I am also offering a successful Intern the opportunity to curate shows in my gallery with further exciting prospects
