Marcus Tatton will be in the Riverhaven Artland Gallery working on and showing his recent sculptures Tuesday until Saturday, 10am-2pm, from Tuesday 6th October to Tuesday 27th October. Entry to the gallery is free.
Marcus is a public space sculptor working around Australia and New Zealand. Versatile in his processes and media, Marcus creates unique sculpture interventions to mark contemporary attitudes and experiences. Much of his practice is creating one-off works for exhibition in national sculpture forums. Living in the quiet of remote Central North Island, New Zealand, Tatton holds a fringe perspective on humanity. It takes form both as a personal politics, of how we individual humans interact with nature, and as a world politic concerning the cumulative effect our species imparts upon earthβs surface. While Marcus is in the gallery, Riverhaven Artland will be open for self-guided walks without a booking. Just arrive and pay on-site.
