Island Breeze is our monthly Pasifika wāhine art and craft session.

If singing, chatting, and art sounds like your cup of tea, come along from 1pm - 3pm tomorrow!

This is your last week to see Noel Meek's exhibition the cuckoo sings for me, for the mountain.

In this exhibition, Noel explores the relationship between humans and the mineral world. The project arises from an ancestral relationship with coal, with Meek's heritage connections to the Scottish mining town of Falkirk and the Denniston Plateau on Te Tai Poutini, the West Coast.

Make sure to see this immersive exhibition before it closes on 21 June.

In this Cultural Awareness session, you will learn about Tokelauan culture and discuss basic social protocols to help you interact with clients, whānau, and friends. The session will be led by Whakatere Ashburton local Akosita Ulupano.

Spend your Saturday afternoon at our free artist talk with Kara Burrowes and Charrette van Eekelen! 🎉

At this special talk, Kara and Charrette will be discussing their collaborative exhibition Nocturne. Both Kara and Charrette utilise embroidery, textiles, and painting in their works, and also have experience with jewellery making.

This will be a great opportunity to see the exhibition before it closes on 21 June, and to ask the artists your questions about the show!
