Today we open our doors at Slot Zeist ✨

Onze zorgvuldig samengestelde collectie Art Nouveau en Art Deco is verfijnd gepresenteerd in onze stand en wij zijn klaar om u vanaf 11:00 uur te ontvangen voor de opening van het Kunst & Antiek Evenement op de prachtige locatie Slot Zeist.

Als highlight presenteer ik een uitzonderlijke tafellamp, ontworpen door Agathon Léonard en gegoten door Susse Frères, circa 1900.

Deze verfijnde sculpturale lamp, uitgevoerd in verguld brons, behoort tot de iconische serie *Jeu de l’Écharpe* en vangt op elegante wijze de beweging en lichtheid van de dans — een perfect voorbeeld van de artistieke verfijning rond de eeuwwisseling.

Een zeldzaam en museaal object dat de essentie van de Art Nouveau belichaamt.

U bent van harte welkom van vandaag t/m zondag in Slot Zeist.

Preparing for something special…

From April 16–19, I will be presenting a carefully curated selection of Art Nouveau and Art Deco at the Kunst & Antiek Evenement in the historic setting of Slot Zeist.

Surrounded by centuries of history, this beautiful fair brings together exceptional objects, refined craftsmanship, and timeless design. These Loetz masterpieces are just a small preview of what will be on display—each piece capturing light, movement, and the spirit of the Jugendstil era.

I look forward to welcoming you and sharing these extraordinary works in person.

During the TEFAF Maastricht 2026 period, our gallery will be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.

A preview of three remarkable works currently on view:

• A magnificent Art Deco bronze by Demétre Chiparus, the elegant model “Egyptian Dancer”, an impressive sculpture with a height of 74 cm, capturing the refined movement and exotic inspiration that made Chiparus one of the most celebrated sculptors of the period.

• A museum-quality porcelain vase by Bing & Grøndahl, designed by F***y Garde. This extraordinary piece features a richly sculpted upper section where flowers and stems grow organically from the surface, creating a unique and highly decorative composition.

• An exceptional Art Deco lamp by Pierre Le Faguays, a refined example of the sculptural elegance that defines the very best of the Art Deco movement.

You are most welcome to visit and discover these and many other highlights of our collection.

A refined Loetz trio ✨

During the TEFAF 2026 Maastricht period, our gallery will be open for visitors.

In this photograph we present a beautiful group of Johann Loetz Witwe vases, demonstrating the extraordinary artistic diversity of the Bohemian glassworks around 1900.

From left to right:
• Nautilus vase with applied trailing and hammered surface
• Ausführung 227 vase in the delicate colour Thea
• Phänomen Genre 1/473 vase with vibrant iridescent decoration

Each piece reflects Loetz’s mastery of form, colour and iridescence during the golden years of the Art Nouveau movement.

The gallery will be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 – 17:00 during the TEFAF 2026 Maastricht week.

✨ Art Nouveau uit Nederland - Nieuwe Kunst

Deze grote en rijk gedecoreerde Rozenburg Den Haag jardinière uit 1896 is een prachtig vroeg voorbeeld van Nederlandse Art Nouveau keramiek. De jardinière is uitgevoerd in faience met verfijnde onderglazuur beschildering en gedecoreerd met watergentiaan en drijfbladeren die zich in een harmonieus ritme over het oppervlak ontvouwen. De levendige groen-, blauw- en geeltinten geven het object een dynamisch en schilderachtig karakter dat zo kenmerkend is voor het vroege Rozenburg-aardewerk.

U bent van harte welkom tijdens de open dag morgen van 11.00 tot 17.00 uur, net voordat TEFAF Maastricht op donderdag haar deuren opent. Een mooie gelegenheid om een zorgvuldig samengestelde collectie Art Nouveau en Art Deco objecten in alle rust te bekijken.

✨ Gallery Open Days - Preview of our collection

An exceptional Johann Loetz Witwe Phänomen Genre 1/4 sprinkler vase, beautifully executed around 1900. The vase is blown in iridescent glass with delicate flowing patterning and is adorned with an elegant silver overlay marked “Sterling.” The organic form and refined decoration perfectly capture the artistic innovation of Loetz during the height of the Art Nouveau period.

This beautiful sculptural piece will be part of the collection on view during our Open Days.

Open Gallery Days during TEFAF Maastricht

During the days of TEFAF Maastricht, I warmly invite you to visit Antiques Emporium in Ulestraten, just 15 minutes from the fair.

On view will be a carefully curated selection of Art Nouveau and Art Deco masterpieces, including highlights such as a refined bronze “Egyptian Dancer” by Demétre Chiparus, a monumental porcelain vase designed by F***y Garde for Bing & Grøndahl, and an exceptional lamp by Pierre Le Faguays.
