Hi! We are Kunstpodium T: a platform for talent development for starting artists. They meet regularly and exchange ideas and experiences.

From the heart of Tilburg we initiate encounters between artists through experiment, exchange and community-based practice. Emerging artists exhibit, reside or work at Kunstpodium T within various projects. In our Apprentice/Master project we pair freshly graduated artists in groups with renowned artists. This collaboration results in group exhibitions at Kunstpodium T or one of the host locations

. In this way we support and motivate recently graduated artists at the start of their career. But we do much more than just the Apprentice/Master programme! 🍃ꜱᴘᴏᴋᴇɴ ᴡᴏʀᴅ x ᴋᴜɴꜱᴛᴘᴏᴅɪᴜᴍ ᴛ ᴘʀɪᴍᴇᴜʀ
Luisteren naar tekstuele parels, genieten van de nazomer én tussendoor beeldende kunst kijken? Dat kan donderdag 𝟏𝟎 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 tijdens de eerste editie van 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐢𝐭. Dit spoken word event vindt plaats in onze – met nét nieuw gras ingezaaide – achtertuin op de Noordstraat 105 in Tilburg Kunstpodium T.

Verwacht een ontspannen avond waar alle stemmen welkom zijn. Dat weekend is óók je laatste kans om de lopende expositie What Lurks, What Blooms te bezichtigen. Kom dus gezellig langs, leun achterover en ontspan 🥂.

The 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 ✨mark the conclusion of the Apprentice / Master program each season. Together with you, we celebrate the remarkable growth the 8️⃣ artist groups of 2025-2026 made!

In essence, all groups are season highlights...Yet with the 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 exhibition we invite 2️⃣ groups to further develop their concept and 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 within the art space of Kunstpodium T - this time without their master! One of those groups will win the 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝗮𝗶𝗷𝗸𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲🏆 on the opening October 15th. 𝙎𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮!

Kiki Petratou (Yearmaster '25/'26) & Klaartje (of Kunstpodium T): "When making the selection, we considered individual growth, the collective development of the group, the exhibition concept, and the involvement of each group throughout the entire program, including participation in lectures, exhibition openings, the Kick-off Week, and the Community Day. We are immensely proud to highlight these two groups! 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗶𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 on why these two groups stood out the most."

🎉 We hebben een volle kaart!

Gefeliciteerd aan Marit van der Gevel, deelneemster aan het huidige Apprentice / Master-seizoen ('25–'26)! Marit bezocht álle openingen van haar mede-kunstenaars én de Day of the Young Artist. Dat is een geweldige prestatie, Marit👏✨

𝗪𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗮𝗿𝘁?
Dit seizoen ontvingen alle Apprentice / Master-deelnemers een Kunstpodium T-strippenkaart ☆☆. Bij ieder bezoek aan een opening of gezamenlijk moment konden zij een strip laten afstrepen door onze vrijwilliger aan de bar. Zo moedigen we deelnemers aan om elkaar te volgen, elkaars werk te zien en samen een hechte community te vormen.

We zijn ontzettend trots dat Marit haar kaart helemaal vol heeft gekregen! 🤩
Ze reisde met ons mee naar Cas-co in Leuven, Joey Ramone in Rotterdam en kwam - naast haar eigen expo - voor vijf openingen op en neer naar Tilburg.

𝗝𝗼𝘂𝘄 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗲ë𝗻 𝘇𝗶𝗷𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗸𝗼𝗺
Achter de schermen denken we na over een nieuwe manier om deelnemers te stimuleren elkaar te blijven bezoeken. De strippenkaart werkte goed, maar eerlijk is eerlijk: hij werd nog vaker vergeten mee te nemen dan afgestreept. 😉

𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲?

𝟭 | Through sculpture and drawing, 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗷𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗯𝘆 gives shape to the marginal excesses that manifest in out-of-balance systems. Often working inside-out, he explores how form can act as a map and symptom of the forces behind it.

𝟮 | 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻 creates abstract paintings that explore perception, scale, and the nature of painting itself. She paints to imagine spaces and scales beyond our physical reach, treating painting as both a physical object and a portal.

𝟯 | 𝗟𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗼: "within my work I reimagined traps, from illusion tricks of stage magicians to whales' bubble nets. I navigate depictions and surprise, reflecting on the blurred boundary between reality and dreams. Through paintings, immersive installations, and sculptures, I'm digging into the fascination of sparkling details, trying to avoid being caught in the shimmering trap."

𝟰 | 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗻: "the work I create acts as a portal to another dimension. It's soft, dainty and vulnerable, yet contrasted by a sharp layer. With my work I try to embrace and cherish my current version. I want to spend time with it, so that is what I do: I sew, embroider and put care into everything I make."

𝟱 | 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 (they/them) creates vibrant, often figurative sculptures and installations that celebrate the misunderstood and the mundane in which Insects often feature centrally. The bright colors transport spectators to magical realms where naïvety, playfulness and absurdity merge and place the outcast on a pedestal.

Julie, Lieke, Emma, Yelim & Hanne (AM #7 '25/ '26) invite you to their workshop: ℂ𝕠𝕝𝕝𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕎𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 ℝ𝕚𝕥𝕦𝕒𝕝 E𝕩𝕡𝕝𝕠𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝔻𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕞 𝕎𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕𝕤 ֎★✽. Saturday July 25. from 15.00 - 17.30h at Kunstpodium T

This writing workshop serves as the finissage event for the groups' current exhibition 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸, last weekend on view T ('till Sunday July 26.)

Introducing the workshop:
✩ The five artists take you on a journey through their dream worlds by sharing writing exercises based on techniques and forms applied in the exhibition.

✶ A ritual will guide you to enter both the exhibition space and your unconscious, where you will gather fragments like reconstructing a dream.

✮Associative chains or messages with fluid meanings will be carefully mended together in different constellations by the participants to make new planetary alignments in the process.

✽ No writing experience needed. The event will be held in English. You can write in the language you feel most comfortable in, or make up a new one. Water, tea and snacks will be provided. Please bring a pen and paper. Feel free to bring a little snack or drink to share.

Our 8th and last Apprentice/ Master group of the season is getting ready...
𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕃𝕦𝕣𝕜𝕤, 𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝔹𝕝𝕠𝕠𝕞𝕤 is the title for their exhibition at Kunstpodium T, opening July 30. 19.00h

After opening, the exhibition is on view 'till August 23.

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐮𝐫𝐤𝐬, 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬:
Have you ever dwelled the spaces in between? Spaces that are never inhabited for long, spaces in constant motion, that are shaped by both forces from within and without. This exhibition unites works that interfere with and expose the unnoticed transformations of the in-between: the waiting room, cocoon, skin, and earth's crust are all perpetually becoming. As forces act upon these spaces, they are transformed by being invaded, infested, or overgrown. Sometimes this can be seen as an act of affection, and sometimes it's a desperate attempt to survive, whatever the cost. Most of these transformations are easy to miss and happen at scales we're not able to notice. There's always something stirring beneath the surface, something growing in the dark or festering tenderly. Slow down your pace, soften your gaze and take a closer look.

Heb je ooit door de tussenruimtes gedwaald? De ruimtes die nooit lang bewoond worden, ruimtes in voortdurende beweging, die worden gevormd door krachten van binnenuit en van buitenaf. Deze tentoonstelling brengt werken samen die de onopgemerkte transformaties van tussenruimtes onthullen: de wachtkamer, de cocon, de huid en de aardkorst. Het zijn allemaal ruimtes die voortdurend in wording zijn. De krachten die deze ruimtes beïnvloeden veranderen de ruimtes door ze binnen te vallen, te besmetten of te overwoekeren. Soms gebeurt dit uit affectie, en soms uit een wanhopige poging om zelf te overleven, ongeacht de prijs. Deze transformaties zijn makkelijk te missen en vinden plaats op een schaal die moeilijk waarneembaar is. Er beweegt altijd iets onder het oppervlakte, iets wat groeit in het donker of zachtjes broeit. Vertraag je pas, verzacht je blik en kijk aandachtig.

Jaaa!...een terugblik met foto's én verslag van de Day of the Young Artist 2026 staat online. Op 8 juni kwamen jonge kunstenaars uit heel Nederland samen in Museum De Pont om deze dag bij te wonen. Dit keer stond de dag, georganiseerd door Kunstpodium T & KOP en curator Lieneke Hulshof in het teken van 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘴 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦. Wat deze editie vooral liet zien, is dat spel veel meer is dan vrijblijvend experiment. Het is een manier om ruimte te maken voor nieuwe ideeën, om bestaande regels te bevragen en om je eigen positie als kunstenaar vorm te geven.
