Wanneer de nacht bloeit

Een bijzondere expositie kondigt zich aan: wij presenteren u ‘Quand la nuit fleurit’ van Pierre Devreux.

Graag nodigen we u uit om te proosten op deze expositie tijdens de vernissage op zondag 30 november tussen 14:00 en 18:00 uur.

Quand la nuit fleurit toont Pierres nieuwste serie van werken, vervaardigd in het afgelopen jaar en nu klaar om het publiek te ontmoeten. Tegen een achtergrond van diep zwart ontvouwen zich bloemen – vuriger, vrijer en voller dan ooit.
Stap binnen in de wereld die Pierre de afgelopen maanden gecreëerd heeft.

De expositie is tot en met 11 januari 2026 te zien bij ons in de galerie.

Quand la nuit fleurit showcases Pierre’s latest series of works, created over the past year and now ready to meet the public. Against a backdrop of deep black, flowers unfold—more fiery, more free, and fuller than ever.
Step into the world Pierre has created over the past months.

From October 17 to 19, Maastricht Gallery Weekend celebrates the power of contemporary art – and Galerie Cesart is taking part.

This year, we are proud to present Florence Corten: already visible on the poster, but truly to be experienced during the weekend in our gallery. Her work moves between strength and subtlety, inviting you to look beyond the visible.

On Sunday, August 24, Galerie Cesart opens its doors for the vernissage of a special late-summer exhibition. On this Sunday, you are warmly invited from 2:00 p.m. onwards to view, admire, and experience art while enjoying a bite and a drink.

In a homely atmosphere, you will this time find the works of no fewer than thirteen artists spread across two floors, covering a total of 160 m².

For this special exhibition, Cesart has invited five guest artists to exhibit their work alongside the eight resident artists. Each works in a completely personal style and medium, creating a rich mix of disciplines and perspectives:
• Anna Goriup creates exquisitely refined ceramic bowls and vases, sometimes colorful, sometimes understated, but always with a subtle balance between form and lightness.
• Marcel Limbourg brings the underwater world ashore with minimalist sea creatures cut from robust corten steel.
• Annette Defoort shapes free, expressive human and animal figures from ceramic, constructed from pre-cut clay fragments that together form an exciting whole.
• Zuz breathes color into life with unique, multicolored vases and imaginative glass animals.
• Yves van der Veken captures the vastness and serenity of the landscape in atmospheric works painted with acrylic on canvas.

This unique combination of glass, steel, ceramics, and painting creates a surprising, summery dialogue between materials, forms, and stories.

In addition, discover the colorful paintings of Pierre Devreux, the breathtaking black-and-white works of Dina Dressen, the intriguing guardians of Adalbert Gans, the moving bronze sculptures of Rietje Geurts, the surprising beetles of Sarah de Graaf, the abundance of photographs by Guy van Grinsven, the tranquil bronzes of Marieke van Gulik, and the lively works of Ruben de Haas.

The 2025 art season is kicking off!
Now that the confetti has been cleared, the art season begins!

Tomorrow, Saturday, March 8, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we will festively open the Tefaf exhibition with emerging artist Yves Janssen and our regular artists.

On Saturday, November 30th, Cesart dims the lights, transforming the gallery into a unique world where you can experience the work from like never before. The nuances, originality, and magic of his art are amplified when his pieces become their own source of light. This is an intimate experience not to be missed, with new works on view. We welcome you to join us between 16:00 and 22:00.

Adalbert’s light objects and paintings will be displayed on the first floor and in the garden. Built up layer by layer, his works guide viewers into a new spatial experience. Adalbert uses light as an additional color, elevating others and creating a unique play of dimension, sharp contours, forms, and an organic color palette. This brings viewers into his No Man’s Land, a glimpse into his restless yet intense spirit.
