Het Flessenscheepjes Museum bevat op dit moment ‘s werelds meest omvangrijke collectie. Meer dan 1000 exemplaren, o.a. uit de vroege zeilvaart en de V.O.C.-tijd, maar ook van de visserij, de walvisvaart en het reddingswezen. Een doorlopende videopresentatie laat zien hoe het mogelijk is dat een scheepje in de fles gepresenteerd wordt. Regelmatig is er een flessenscheepjesbouwer aan het werk, welke
vertelt over zijn vaardigheden. Ook zijn er thema-exposities te bezichtigen, welke telkens een ander facet van de scheepvaart belichten of werken van bekende (of onbekende) flessenscheepjesbouwers laten zien.

The Bottle Ships Museum currently contains the world's most extensive collection of hand made bottle ships. The wide variety of bottles and type of ships is unique. On display are more than 1.000 pieces, not only including the early sailing ships and the VOC era., but also in areas of fishing, whaling and life-saving. A continuous video presentation shows how a small ship gets to be presented into a bottle. One of our bottle ship builders is at the museum regularly. He will show his work and tell you all about his abilities. There are also themed exhibits on display, showing every other facet of shipping or highlights works by famous (or unknown) bottle ship builders.
