Waar tijd en verhalen samenkomen.
In Four Seasons Four Months, Four Million Light Years (2020) neemt Sara Sejin Chang je mee op een bijzondere reis door tijd en ruimte. In deze immersieve filminstallatie onderzoekt ze de geschiedenis van transnationale en transraciale adoptie, en de band tussen Nederland en Korea.
Met film, textiel, teksten en tekeningen creëert ze een ruimte waarin verleden en heden elkaar raken. Via sjamanistische gedichten en beelden wordt stilgestaan bij mensen die gescheiden zijn van hun familie, cultuur en achtergrond — en bij de geschiedenis die daarachter schuilgaat.

In Four Seasons Four Months, Four Million Light Years (2020), Sara Sejin Chang takes you on a journey through time and space. In this immersive film installation, she explores the history of transnational and transracial adoption, and the connection between the Netherlands and Korea.
Through film, textiles, texts and drawings, she creates a space where past and present come together. Shamanistic poems and imagery reflect on people who have been separated from their families, culture and roots — and the history behind it.
