Freemd met een F Dutch cultural start-up. We provide sustainable solutions for museums and cultural organisations, embrace radical ideas and have a passion for heritage.

Freemd met een F or Freemd* in short (pronounced as ‘framed’), is a cultural organisation in The Netherlands. Freemd’s main goal is to make museums friendlier places for (new) visitors. To do so, we help visitors with visiting museums and help museum professionals to make awesome unique museum experiences.

*Dutch for something weird. Museums can be both tiring and awesome. We feel a need to share

the awesomeness with people. We share extraordinary facts, anecdotes and real behind-the-scenes stories in our short tours. This is what we use to cure Museum Fatigue. Freemd is founded by tree museum professionals in 2016 by Pauline van der Velde, Anne Kos en Charlotte Hartong. Soon after, a dinosaur named Animo became the president of Freemd to help find ‘animo’ for museums and culture.
