Vanderven Oriental Art page for Vanderven Oriental Art Oriental Art is our Passion! We are a family run business specialising in Chinese and Japanese art.

The emphasis in our collection lies in Chinese early ceramics from the Han and Tang periods and (export) porcelains from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. We also deal in Chinese silver, glass, wooden and Iron objects from these periods. Our Japanese art collection focuses mainly on lacquer, metal, porcelain from the 18th to the 20th century. With over a 100 collective years of experience, we are

proud to be truly international specialists in our field. With our extensive library and research projects, we continue to learn and hone our knowledge in an ever changing art market and remain top in our field.

Floris and Nynke van der Ven are back from their amazing travels to Asia. Roaming through museums in China and Taiwan they have come across wonderful artworks that reminded them of works in our gallery in Den Bosch. The last object in this series is this beautiful courtlady from the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Similar artworks like this one can be found in the Shanghai Museum in China and the National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan.

For example this beautiful Lapis Lazuli Boulder with a Poem by Zhang Xu.
